Adoption Fee $250. This includes the spay/ neuter, dental if needed, updated vaccinations, heartworm test, check for parasites, new greyhound style collar/lead, rescue group identification tag and transport from the farm to St. Louis.

After filling out the application return it to the co-ordinator for processing. After reviewing the information, a  home vist may be required  to ensure the dog's new environment will be safe and secure, and to answer any questions or concerns you have. We will  then do our best to choose a greyhound that matches your lifestyle.

Occasionally Couch Potato Greys will receive a Special Needs dog, that requires a family with extra patience. These dogs may be ones with broken legs(common in the world of greyhound racing), or possible amputation as is the case with Archie. These greys as well as the seniors still make excellent pets, and should not be overlooked for a second chance at becoming part of the family.

After approval of the applicant and a match between family and greyhound, a time we be set up to deliver your new family member.  We will then have the completion of the remaining adoption papers, contract and ownership transfer, adoption donation, and answering of any other questions or concerns. We don't just drop the greyhound off and say goodby.  We will periodically call to see how the grey is doing in the new household, invite the adopters to future promotions, and offer to make visits to your home or phone calls to help with any problems that might arise.
